Digital Marketing
Dedicated volunteer programme aims to train individuals in web design, social media marketing and digital marketing to become future online and digital leaders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Create website for mosques, madrassa and other community organisations.
- Assist the digital marketing team on updating community websites.
- General support of Islamic Relief’s work in the SA.
Fundraising Volunteer
Help us raise much needed funds to alleviate poverty and empower families worldwide, whilst working within your local community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Events: Planning and promoting upcoming events, set-up and execution
- Fundraising: Running bucket collections, stalls, helping at fundraising events and much more
- Promotion: Acting as an ambassador for IR, representing us at different events and school assemblies
- Challenges: Taking part in running, cycling, trekking and climbing challenges – you could even skydive or bungee jump!
- Brainstorming: Putting your skills to use in helping our fundraising teams raise more funds
- Administration: Making phone calls, writing letters and filing paperwork
Call Centre & Office Volunteer
Be the first port of call for our donors by joining our Supporter Relations team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Answering calls to take donations and respond to queries during live TV appeals
- General office administrative tasks
- Ensuring all calls are correctly dealt with and logged
- When required, informing callers of Islamic Relief’s history, vision and programmes
SA Projects and Disaster Response Volunteer
Dedicated volunteer programme aims to create leaders who are trained to provide an emergency response during a crisis and represent the organisation through our national programmatic work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Respond to an emergency in the SA (at short notice) and assist where necessary
- Assist the SA domestic programme like the Qurbani and local campaigns
- Attend local resilience forum and networks representing Islamic Relief
- Attend training and briefing session over a 2 year period
- General support of the SA domestic and emergency works
Campaigning Volunteer
Support campaigns that aim to bring about positive long-term change.
Key responsibilities include:
- Attending networking meetings and public mobilisation events
- Acting as an ambassador for Islamic Relief campaigns and advocacy work
- Encouraging and mobilising others to get involved
- Undertaking research and report on findings
- General administration tasks
