Islamic Relief’s response

Islamic Relief has been working in Yemen since 1998, reaching vulnerable communities across 17 of the country’s 22 governorates, including some of the hardest-to-reach areas.

With a country office in Sana’a and sub-offices across the country, our teams remain on the ground delivering life-saving aid despite ongoing challenges.

Islamic Relief’s impact

In 2025 alone, Islamic Relief supported over 1,080,274 people across Yemen:

• 27,335 people supported through livelihoods and resilience programmes, including cash assistance, small business support, and Cash-for-Work initiatives
• 48,204 people supported through water, sanitation and hygiene programmes, including water system rehabilitation and solar-powered solutions
• 30,448 individuals supported through nutrition programmes, including 20,480 children under five, and 9,968 pregnant and lactating women
• 46,282 people supported through essential healthcare services
